Contemporary Art You Got to Love it

Wednesday, August 5th, 2009

Art work Dorne_InMyTeensForMyMotherWhen I looked into modern art searching for improvements to decorating our house I got pleasantly surprised about the new world I discovered. Literally I had no idea what it actually was until I started browsing around looking for some modern art work.  I have to tell you I got pretty excited with the results.

I’ve always considered modern art to be some sort of abstract painting, or anything similar that you just couldn’t figure out what the purpose was. Maybe it’s just me but I always felt that way. All the colours in the picture are simply too strongly related to the theory of the new age in my opinion.
Newer the less when it comes to today’s modern art the expression contemporary art is much more precise.

Contemporary art work doesn’t have to be some abstract painting or composition that only the artist self truly understand, leaving the rest of us scratching our heads. Personally I think there has to be some meaning and realism in a painting, being a simple person I don’t want my art works to be to complex or confusing.

The contemporary art genre is luckily rather huge, and you can find some wonderful paintings that are quiet easy to understand and interpret with your eyes. Many portraits and landscapes are incredibly fascinating in the area of contemporary art, so you can count me in as a new biggest fan of this fussy society.

The movement of contemporary art is now, together with some geometric designs in my furnishings, the foundation of my home decoration, and the best part is that I’m in addition able to recognize the representations of those designs.

Art work vintageWhat truly appeals to the antique collector in me is the fact that the movement of contemporary art started as early as the late 19th century. I have some rather old art pieces in my home, and it brings me great pleasure to combine those contemporary art pieces together with some very fascinating antiques from the 19th Century.

The fact that I’m still able to come across paintings in contemporary art that not just suits my personal taste but looks very decorative in my home too, gives me a tremendous pleasure. Both my mind and my eyes is now opened to contemporary art works, and I have found a brand new positive reaction on behalf of abstract paintings.
